Sustainability 2024

For the second consecutive year, we have been advancing our genuine environmental commitments by preparing our Nature Report, following the recommendations of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). This report shows our commitment to transparency and responsible management of our natural capital.

On this occasion, I want to share the progress and achievements in our biodiversity management in Peru. A key milestone has been strengthening our regenerative agriculture model, which harmonizes with the biosphere and ecosystem services. This model is recognized as a successful and sustainable practice, establishing us as a benchmark in the country’s agroindustrial sector.

In this context, I am proud to highlight that in 2024 our flagship program, “Sembrando Futuro juntos” (Sowing the Future Together), was presented at the COP16 – Conference on Biodiversity, held in Cali, Colombia. This important event brought together countries and companies from Latin America and the Caribbean, and gave us the opportunity to share our approach to sustainable agriculture, as well as our reforestation initiatives in the dry forest ecosystem in northern Peru, included in the national biodiversity portfolio.

The results have been very encouraging. Today we can firmly state that Agrovision is positively impacting native species conservation, promoting regenerative agriculture, protecting the environment, improving ecosystem services, and raising environmental awareness in our communities.

I want to be emphatic in pointing out that these achievements transcend our regulatory obligations. They are the result of a deep conviction to do things right and to demonstrate that it is possible to build a development model that integrates sustainability, productivity, and inclusion. Therefore, our commitment is to continue replicating these good practices in all our operations, understanding biodiversity management not only as a responsibility, but also as an opportunity to generate shared value with our stakeholders.

AGROVISION PERÚ has been awarded the AGAP award during the Agrofest Peru in 2023, for the management in the conservation of the dry forest, reforestation of native species and protection of fauna and flora in danger of extinction; possible through the daily program that our Forestry Brigade has been carrying out.

Alliance for Water Stewardship

As main tools, we have the Water Management Plans for Agrovision Peru S.A.C. and Arena Verde S.A.C. designed in association with the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) certification obtained by both entities in 2023. These certifications allowed us to evaluate our management of water resources and the impacts we have on our local communities and natural resources.
